Welcome to Fruit of the Vine International
Fruit of the Vine International is a non-profit Christian organization that exists to meet the physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs of the poor worldwide.
Our Purpose is to:
Bring sustainable interventions with long term effects.
Assess the latent capacity of those receiving help and provide supports that move them from a place of being ongoing recipients to being participants in their future. This is accomplished through constant support, evaluation and mutually agreed upon objectives.
Build capacity: We seek to build capacity for the future by leaving communities empowered to serve as agents of change and able to use homegrown solutions.
From the Executive Director:
2013 has been an exciting year here at FVI. Since our inception in 2006, we have worked hard to meet the felt, physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of disadvantaged children. However it became clearer that the depth of many children's emotional traumas needed addressing more urgently. In addition to supporting the wonderful work of New Hope Children's Center and building partnerships with other organizations, we completed a long anticipated week of trauma counseling at the children's home. We trained 28 adults from various children serving organizations with skills to handle children's trauma and facilitated one-on-one sessions with over 100 children.
The stories of how God met these men, women and children in dealing with difficult and painful experiences continue to flow in and we amazed at the depth of the love of Jesus for each one. We have been called to be the hands and feet of Christ, incarnating His love to those considered disadvantaged and at FVI we continue to grow in finding ways to make this practical.
The difference we make can be measured by that one child, one adult, one institution or one community that is touched. Thank you for your support in prayer, sacrificial financial giving and encouragement. Without you this would not be possible. Their challenges, victories and new opportunities are ours to share.
If you would like more information, to support or partner with FVI, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you and thank you very much for visiting our website.
